About the Role

Position Summary - VRT Technician

As a Vehicle Reliability Technician you will be maintaining, testing and troubleshooting ATG vehicle platforms in order to support Testing Initiatives. This is your chance to support the cutting edge technology that will change transportation around the world.

What You'll Do:

  • Support ATG Vehicle Platforms during testing initiatives
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on a daily basis
  • Work with engineers and developers to isolate or reproduce hardware/software issues
  • Leverage internal software utilities to ensure platform reliability
  • Continued Technician development is the expectation.
  • Follow safety standards and meet internal deadlines.

What You'll Need

  • Familiarity with Ubuntu and OSX operating systems
  • Familiarity with the basics of Computer Networks
  • Experience with source control, build, and deployment tools
  • Experience in tracking new features across multiple software release cycles
  • Ability to manage/track multiple SW/HW issues from identification to resolution
  • Previous Experience testing or supporting HW or SW systems during development
  • Candidates must possess excellent documentation practices.
  • Comfortable working in a team or individual environment
  • Ability to travel

Bonus Points If:

  • Previous Software or Hardware Quality Assurance Experience
  • Knowledge of White Box testing methodologies
  • Ability to read/write C++/Python/or GO
  • Familiar with automotive testing methodologies.
  • Prior linux administration or Comptia+ certifications

Technical Capabilities

Proficiency with multiple operating systems (Linux and Mac OS), bash and source control (git). Solid troubleshooting process/capabilities.

  • Foundation (must haves)
  • Past experience with Linux/Ubuntu/MAC operating systems
  • Proficiency with git
  • Familiarity with software/hardware "bug" tracking tools (ie PHAB or Jira)
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware or software systems using diagnostic tools
  • Skilled (Bonus points)
  • Ability to read/write Python/C++/GO
  • Ability to write scripts (Python or C++) to troubleshoot hardware and software systems
  • Prior Experience using white box testing methodologies to root cause software or hardware issues
