About the Role

The Japan EATS sales team faces complex and competitive environment. The role faces a wide range of opportunities and challenges, with ambitious goals for the coming years. Unlocking and addressing these will require strategic thinking, operational excellence and organizational agility.

Uber Eats is seeking a sales program enablement lead with experience either being in sales programs or a sales training role to help build the foundations for sales excellence in the sales operation organisation. You will work cross functionally towards both short term and long term goals, working closely with the regional, local enablement and sales teams. You will be responsible for partnering closely with the key stakeholders across the Sales organisation in Japan to help build the vision, strategy & execution of how we engage with our restaurant partners

The right person will be able to think big, ideate and execute on what a top class sales experience looks like for our restaurant partners, resulting in a positive impact for our partners and our business.

What You'll Do

  • Drive sales programs in the country
  • Create a sales framework for Japan
  • Build out a coaching programme
  • Impact sales productivity in a positive way
  • Collaborate on key APAC sales operation priorities including training programmes alongside APAC wide initiatives
  • Cross Functional Engagement: Work with key partners (such as Legal/Tax) to deliver successful outcomes
  • Help localize Global & Regional content to be used in Taiwan

What you'll need

  • 3-5 years professional experience in sales, sales operation, account management, sales development or other relevant experience
  • Strong aptitude with numbers and analytical skills, strategic thinking, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength
  • Track record of delivering against strategic targets
  • Experience coaching and developing others is preferred
  • Clear communication skills. You are a clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesise a lot of information quickly, highlight the key take-aways, and disseminate actionable insights
  • Ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative feedback
  • Experience with Python, SQL, Tableau or visualisation software would be strongly considered

Bonus Point If

  • Played a role in crafting and successfully delivering program
  • Experience building out account management teams, or/and L&D within a transactional sales organisation is a plus
  • Excellent at planning and project management - ability to look ahead to meet regular deadlines and prevent last minute fire drills
  • Highly curious and a quick learner who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced collaborative environment
