Manager, Community Affairs - JUMP

About the Role

We are seeking a Community Affairs Manager to own and grow our brand through field marketing, local advocacy within key micromobility groups, and execution of events in the communities we serve. This role requires some travel and a willingness to dive in headfirst, ready to unlock markets through strong relationship building and a commitment to the cities we operate in. This person will report to our Director of Market Entry and work in close partnership with our public policy team.

What You'll Do

  • Create and drive global and city-specific engagement strategy
  • Execute permit requirements to engage with local stakeholders and the micromobility community
  • Work in lockstep with internal Public Affairs & Policy teams in the development of city permits, community engagement strategy, and more.
  • Hire and manage a team who will help you in your mission to bring our community engagement strategies to life
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our Operations & Marketing teams across the world in order to define the highest priority markets for your team to focus on - and how we will show up there
  • Travel between JUMP cities to implement outreach strategies and assist the Director of Market Entry on high priority projects.
  • Track key analytics and provide actionable information and insights to influence marketing & community strategy moving forward.

What You'll Need

  • 6+ years experience in community building, event coordination, experiential marketing efforts, and public policy, engagement and/or advocacy
  • Drive to build consistent relationships, seize networking opportunities, and thoughtfully engage with a diverse range of community groups and individuals.
  • Enthusiasm for JUMP bikes and our work to make biking affordable, convenient, and fun for residents.
  • Significant experience building, leading and coaching a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours beyond the 9-5 and travel. Events will take place on evenings and weekends.
  • An extremely detail oriented mindset and process-oriented while multi-tasking several projects in a fast moving environment.
  • Comfort in working across many teams from operations and business strategy to public policy and beyond - you are able to connect the dots and accomplish your goals amidst different team's priorities
  • Ability to work as part of a team remotely while maintaining communication with your team. Must be able to work independently on assigned projects with minimal supervision.
