Václav Havel Airport Prague was inaugurated in 1937 and has since grown to be one of the most important airports in the Czech Republic, seeing more than 15 million passengers every year. A second terminal was added in 1968, and the airport now hosts nearly 70 airlines that fly to more than 160 international destinations. Prague Airport is located about 18 kilometers (11 miles) to the west of the center of Prague, making it about a 30-minute Uber trip away.
