Driving at El Dorado International Airport (BOG)

Airports can be complicated places, especially for drivers. But knowing the basics, and getting information in advance about your local airport, can help make sure you’re prepared for your first pickup or dropoff.

Airport regulations

Users can order an Uber when they are at El Dorado International Airport. Follow these instructions so that picking them up and taking them to their destination is the best experience for you.

At El Dorado International Airport we have a ‘virtual queue’ set up where the first driver-partners to enter the area are the first to receive a service. (See Picture Below)

Please note the following conditions, which apply to all members who want to wait for a service at the airport:

  • Once you enter the area indicated on the map that appears on this page, you will enter your turn, regardless of whether you enter with a trip on board or not.
  • To keep your turn you must stay in the zone. If you leave it, you will lose it.
  • If you receive a trip request and the user cancels, we will honor your turn.

How airport trips work

1. Accepting and taking trips happens the same way as usual.

2. The app will show you where your local airport’s approved pickup or dropoff location is. It might be different from where you’d go if you weren’t driving with Uber; airports sometimes have designated zones for Uber and other ridesharing services.

3. If you’re dropping off a rider, you can ask them if their flight is domestic or international and what airline they’re flying, then you can look for signs that match what they tell you.

Staging information

Although there is currently no special area designated for vehicles registered with Uber, in your partner application you will see the door where the user is located. We recommend that you pick them up in the left lane of the arrivals lane so that it is easier for both of you to meet and begin the trip.
