About the Role

We are looking for an innovative problem solver with a customer experience approach to help drive a local recovery and Taxi program that improves the experience for drivers and riders on Uber. It's no small task, as this is the sophisticated engine behind many of Uber's campaigns and policies to feed an encouraging and positive experience for everyone who chooses to use Uber!

The Head of Rides Business Growth Southern Europe will need a combination of strong problem solving, project management, technical and interpersonal skills. With these talents in hand, you will craft and evolve our strategy, own the execution of the roadmap, drive strategy and operations across a portfolio of distributed policies and campaigns, and secure support from a wide range of senior partners and internal teams.

The role requires someone who is rational and methodical, loving the challenge of large multi-partner initiatives that require you to innovate, lead, influence, and to think both strategically and tactically!

What You'll Do

  • You will be responsible for the overall Southern Europe Recovery and Taxi operational program
  • Develop critical metrics for measuring and monitoring recovery and taxi performance; set and achieve targets on these.
  • Maintain a central view of the impact that the Taxi program has on the business as well as the community of Uber users.
  • Build and lead the Taxi operational strategy for the region (Product, comms, customer experience...)
  • Taxi program scaling: run analyses to identify operational levers to scale the taxi product and create/execute the action plan related
  • Be the single point of contact for all Taxi topics when interacting with cross-functional partners such as Marketing and Community Operations.
  • Lead and update key regional and central partners on a regular basis.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives by working with partners across operations, marketing, legal and regional teams to scope, test, and implement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in problem-solving by developing new frameworks for complex problems where no standards exist today.
  • Engage other specialists for feedback and integrate it effectively to develop highly measurable solutions and drive implementation across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of validated experience in strategic and/or operational roles, coming from general management, business development, customer experience, and/or management consulting background.
  • Educated to Masters / Postgraduate level
  • You have proven operational skills scaling a business in the past
  • Data-based decision-making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying partner needs.
  • Experience building efficient processes that scale across a large organization.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
