Fullstack Engineer (Mobile) - Freight

Freight, Engineering
in San Francisco, California

About the Role

Uber Freight connects shippers with truckers, much like the way Uber connects riders and drivers. The Freight team believes that empowering truck drivers will bring more open, efficient, and increasingly safer transportation to our roads. We are a team of sharp, entrepreneurial individuals bringing technologies, algorithms and lessons from Uber's core business into the $700B U.S. Transportations & Logistics industry. Comprised of Uber veterans and newcomers, we are looking for candidates who share our enthusiasm for disrupting today's toughest challenges in transportation. We are a Customer Obsessed team, and care deeply about our users, continually looking for opportunities to improve their lives.

We're looking for experienced and passionate fullstack/mobile developers, who can work across at least one mobile stack (iOS or Android) and the backend, to join Uber Freight's Carrier Experience team.

About the Team

Carrier Experience team is a cross-functional group in which Backend, Android and iOS engineers work collaboratively to design and build products for carriers to maximize their revenue and flexibility.

Our primary product is a mobile application that helps Uber Freight's goal of automating the freight industry by giving carriers the ability to book their own loads and control their own schedules. We are a #carrierobsessed team, and care deeply about our users and continually look for opportunities to improve their lives. Since launch, we've changed the lives of thousands of carriers across the country, liberating them from the opaque brokerage process, and offering transparency in pricing and scheduling.

We are doubling down on improving the carrier experience by combining the power of core carrier experience and marketplace levers that will result in better efficiency, utilization, and network effect of the Uber Freight marketplace.
