Head of New Verticals, UberEats Taiwan
About the role
We are looking for a strategic leader to help expand the business into new and dynamic commercial verticals. This is a business critical position and will reports directly to the General Manager and is based in Taipei. We are seeking a strategic, analytical project and partner manager, who will excel at developing innovative growth strategies for the local market. This is an ideal role for someone who has experience establishing a new business within a large company, innovating within defined constraints, and has the ability to harness global, regional, and local resources to drive efficient user growth.
What You'll Do:
Drive the launch and operationalization of new product features.
Drive growth initiatives including grocery and other potential verticals by identifying business opportunities, researching the required resources investment, crafting experiments, planning the go-to-market strategy, and driving cross-functional execution.
Identify, solidify, and communicate key business metrics to enable decision making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Operations and Sales, Marketing, Community Operations, Policy, Tax, Legal, Communications, Strategy & Planning and People Operations in Taiwan and the APAC region to scale the Taiwan business.
What You'll Need:
10-15 years of business consulting, corporate, startup, or related leadership experience in a dynamic and evolving environment. Evidence of complete ownership of a complex project with many partners highly valued.
You understand key business levers and metrics and how they impact business outcomes and the P&L and can effectively communicate the business rationale of decisions.
Creative mentality: Innovative problem-solver who is not limited by constraints and is able to build and implement new market strategies that help with rapid scaling and growth.
Effective partner management: Stellar relationship building skills and the means to collaborate across functions and levels.
Strong analytical ability: Experience working with data sets and able to draw key insights from analysis. Proficiency in SQL a plus.
- Mandarin and English speaking and writing proficiency a must.
