Product Operations Strategy & Planning Associate

Product Operations, Operations & Launch
in San Francisco, California

About the Role

Uber Eats is one of the fastest growing businesses at Uber. We're scaling our sales teams, operations teams, regional teams, product/eng teams all at the same time. The biggest challenge that our product operations team is facing is to make sure that we grow TOGETHER.

The Uber Eats Product Ops Strategy and Planning Associate will work with leadership and business partners to set our product strategy, align teams around that strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to deliver on it. Based in San Francisco, this role will be a partner to Product Ops leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee product planning from development through successful execution under the guidance of leadership
  • Assist and communicate with leadership in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation
  • Be a business/industry expert and advise on cross-functional implications of products/features
  • Build scalable solutions and deep expertise to improve coordination, and empower execution
  • Communicate product findings and insights to diverse audiences -- from senior executives to new hires to subject matter experts
  • Be a strategic partner to team members in different parts of the business

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of analytical or strategy experience
  • At least 12 months of Uber Ops or S&P experience (ROps, DOps, MM, CommOps, S&P); experience on an UberEATS ops team is a plus!
  • An ability to synthesize information quickly, to distill key takeaways, and to weave insights into a compelling story that clarifies and inspires
  • An ability to build deep relationships across a broad organization, to foster a warm and collaborative work environment, and to understand problems from diverse perspectives. Humility and empathy are critical to success in this role.
  • High standards and a bias toward action: you can find the context and information you need through relationships across the organization, you push for clarity and delivery, and you hold a high bar from your contributions and those of the people you work with
  • Grit and perseverance: you're inspired by a challenge and push yourself to keep going when others back away
  • Exceptional Excel / data management skills. SQL highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
