Workforce Management Intern - Amsterdam

About the Role

The Flexforce Team is seeking a Workforce Management Intern that will support operational data driven initiatives and strategic responsibilities. This person should be dynamic, not afraid of working large amounts of data, and have excellent communication skills. This role will act as a trusted partner to IT, legal and security partners while collaborating closely with our managed service provider to achieve the program's strategic objectives related to contingent workforce best practices, compliance and support.

What You'll Do

  • Provide our array of business lines with data and insights on their use of extended labor
  • Support our internal customers, including human resources, IT, and legal, to ensure Uber is in compliance with all local requirements
  • Work with Uber's internal partners to determine the best type of non-permanent workforce to engage
  • Represent Uber and the Flexforce team's values and have a positive impact on the overall experience of sourcing and onboarding non-permanent hires
  • Partner with our managed service provider to facilitate the use of our vendor management tool

What You'll Need

  • Ability to effectively engage with internal customers, facilitate discussions about complex topics, influence, and reach agreement
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data
  • Ability to work well as part of a global team. Effective organizational and stakeholder management skills
  • Currently enrolled in a Masters or Undergraduate degree
  • End of studies internship favourable: Last internship of studies in business school or university, with previous internship experience (startup, analytics, hr management, law)
  • Written and spoken fluency in English
  • Availability for 4 months full time in starting in April 2020
  • Work authorisation in the Netherlands

Bonus Points If

Experience with a vendor management system (Fieldglass or Beeline) or Managed Service Providers specializing in contingent workforce.

The FlexForce team manages the end-to-end process of Uber's global external workforce and suppliers. The Flexforce team is responsible for the governance, and operations across the non-employee landscape at Uber. We help managers solve their external resource needs while keeping Uber in compliance with global requirements.
