About the Role

The Uber Eats Regional Operations team is helping drive innovation in the business, scale our most impactful initiatives, and support various Uber Eats markets. We are looking for a Head of Business Strategy in Marketplace Operations to develop and executive data-driven strategies and processes that will drive the growth and efficiency of the business. You will grow and lead a large team of Regional Operations Managers, including People Managers, so will be focused on people development, management and setting up your team for success. This role will work closely with cross-functional counterparts in the business (i.e. Marketing, Product, Finance, and other Operations teams) to lead high impact initiatives across the US & Canada. As a highly visible leader in the US & Canada Eats organization you will act as a thought partner to the broader Eats leadership team.

What You'll Do

  • Build, inspire and lead a large team of Regional Operations Managers to tackle a diverse set of analytical, strategic and operational challenges across the marketplace
  • Innovate on next-generation market monitoring & management solutions to optimize core trade-off decisions in our business
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with Product, Sales Operations, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance and other senior leadership to develop and execute forward looking strategy in priority areas of the business
  • Present insights to senior management and other cross functional partners to drive strategic decision making
  • Work closely with Head of Marketplace Operations to facilitate an effective and efficient team, ranging from planning and project management to team culture and continuous development

What You'll Need

  • 8+ years of professional work experience; 3+ of those years in consulting, strategy, business intelligence; some high-growth operations or startup experience is highly desired

  • Proven track record in marrying business acumen with analytical thinking

  • Some experience statistical data modeling and familiarity with coding languages

  • Demonstrated ability using data to develop strategies and inform decision making

  • Passion for building efficient marketplaces and ability to spot opportunities for optimization and growth

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the Uber Eats Marketplace

  • Demonstrated experience with people management and leading high performing teams as well as working through challenging situations

  • Deep operational mindset and proven track record in process optimization and execution

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as stakeholder management, consensus building and project management

  • Data-driven decision making mentality, sound business judgment, and the ability to back your analysis up with meaningful analytical thinking

  • Thrive in ambiguous and fast paced environments

  • A "driver" personality, biased toward action, great collaborator and excellent simplifier -- you're constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery

  • MBA degree highly desired
