Sr. Manager, Head of US & Canada Eats Finance

About the Role

As the Head of Finance for Eats US & Canada, you will lead a team of highly talented individuals aiming to help shape the future of food delivery. In less than 4 years, Uber Eats has managed to become one of the largest food delivery and app / e-commerce marketplace businesses in the world.

This role provides for the opportunity to be a key member of US&CA and Global Sales leadership teams for Eats. You will be responsible for partnering with leaders across numerous functions to help evolve our financial processes and influence key decisions. Specifically, you will lead the team that drives financial planning, establishment of sales finance principles, and extraction of financial insights used to support strategic decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Develop the team: Grow and develop your team while partnering across Strategic Finance to add to our team norms, mission, career paths, and goals
  • Business partnerships: Work closely with the US&CAN Regional Manager, sales leadership, and other function leaders for Eats to develop financial forecasts and operational goals, apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision making
  • Financial planning: Managing existing financial processes, and provide the thought leadership required to further enhance the team's financial capabilities
  • Build to scale: develop and scale best practices across the US&CA finance organization; serve as a thought leader to help scale best practices to other regions
  • Strategic thought partnership: serve as a thought partner to pressure test key strategic initiatives, as well as remove resource roadblocks for innovation to take place
  • Partner with Accounting and Tax: Work closely with accounting and tax to provide input on management reporting needs and connect operations to tax impacts
  • Sophisticated financial modeling: play a critical role in pricing, assessing new products, and measuring impact. You will need to lead sophisticated modeling that will be part of the launch decisions of these initiatives

What You'll Need

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a management consulting, investment banking, or corporate finance environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills
  • Comfort with dealing with ambiguity and fast paced environment
  • A minimum of 3 years of people management experience
