About the Role

The Rider team is at the heart of our efforts to ensure that the products and experiences we have meet and exceed the needs of riders using the Uber app. Our team seeks to continually improve and develop the products available, innovates to incorporate new modalities, such as public transit, and works on developing rider loyalty programmes.

As the Rider Product Portfolio Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team looking after our core rider products - UberPool, UberX, UberXL, Exec, Lux and Taxi. You will lead the strategy and future direction of this portfolio of products, working to grow their usage amongst the rider population, launching relevant new products and generating ideas to influence future product development by our central product teams.

This role will involve significant cross-functional collaboration across product, finance, marketing, tax, legal, customer support and teams in EMEA and HQ. We are looking for an exceptional individual, who is able to coordinate across all these groups to deliver a successful strategy and execution for the UKI. The ideal candidate has a solid analytical grounding, is passionate about leading teams, engaging senior stakeholders, working with cross-functional groups, identifying unmet customer needs and driving large-scale project management execution and impact.

What you'll Do:

The successful candidate will deliver Uber's vision growing and optimising the core product portfolio. They will be able to think strategically and identify untapped sources of growth, leading these ideas through to execution by the team. You will be expected to work with the team to closely monitor the performance of all products in the portfolio with a strong understanding of customer needs.

The candidate will work closely with central teams to monitor the growth of their cities and to identify opportunities to accelerate this growth. They will programme manage growth and expansion initiatives within the region.

What you'll Need:

  • A minimum of 7 years experience, ideally with a background in tech
  • Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment
  • Long term strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to lead teams
  • Outstanding stakeholder and project management skills
  • A creative approach and a rounded understanding of everything Uber does
  • A proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Experience working with central product teams
  • Experience working on consumer-facing products
