About the Role
As an intern being part of Uber's South Cone Strategy & Planning team, you will help with: running analyses that contribute to the strategic decision-making process, keeping leadership updated on main strategic projects, helping to better understand the business environment for launching new products and/or initiatives, and supporting operational excellence across the region.
The ideal candidate for this role should be passionate about the dynamic and ever-changing tech industry, be motivated about the social and economic impact that our platform has on society, be able to adapt to changes and willing to learn from mistakes, be able to own and lead projects, and have strong analytical skills.
What You'll Do
Drive analysis on important strategic decisions in order to improve operational and financial performance of cities in the region
Keep an eye on our key operational metrics and raise flags
Help to track the progress of our key projects across the region and ensure business impact
Build presentations for internal discussions on key issues
Build reports to communicate updates and progress of our business
Work with ops teams in building business cases thru external data analysis
What You'll Need
Studying economics/engineering or any other analytical career is preferable, but will definitely consider candidates from other careers;
Self-starter and ownership - with the ability to make your own hypothesis, raise the questions and dive into the data for confirming your own ideas;
Passion for collaboration and working with other teams - you are a team player that likes to work with different teams and learn from other roles
About the Team
The S&P team works on several critical operational fronts for Uber Ridesharing in the region. The team also works closely with other territory, regional and global teams.
