Role : Senior Technical Sourcer

This is not the typical backend Sourcer role in the industry - this is a key strategic role and it is all about bringing on the smartest folks, maintaining our culture as we grow crazy fast and putting process in place to keep it moving.

Role Purpose

A fantastic opportunity exists to join the Uber India Tech Recruiting team. This Tech Sourcer is tasked with leading key sourcing initiatives across the region and developing innovative and proactive methods to source, evaluate and pipeline candidates for Uber with a view to conversion to offer.

This person should foster and cultivate relationships with Top Talent in the industry and develop high quality, qualified talent pools to deliver upon both immediate short-term and strategic long-term needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement a variety of candidate generation techniques, strategies, programs and stay ahead of new innovations in sourcing.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the talent landscape both locally and globally; build a competitive intelligence knowledge base of companies and candidates residing within those companies.
  • Mapping: Use research tools including Social Media, Networking, Tech Conferences, Articles and Publications to seek out the best talent.
  • Pipelining: To engage with the best external talent in conversations about how they can further their careers at Uber.
  • Engage with Hiring Managers / Business Leaders to understand fully the role or business that you are sourcing for, share market insights and talent pool research based on collective knowledge and expertise.
  • Utilize Uber candidate applicant tracking systems to accurately record and update candidate profiles so that they are in ready NOW, user friendly formats.
  • Actively source diverse candidates from a variety of sourcing channels : be our D&I Champion.
  • Screen and make initial assessments of candidates so that they can be compared to others on shortlist in an ordered and consistent manner.
  • Evaluate your own productivity and effectiveness of methods used to deliver results. Work on specific KPIs including Diversity Funnel and Offer Accept targets.
  • Take an active role in building talent sourcing community across APAC region

What we are looking in the ideal candidate for this role :

  • Ideal candidate will have well developed experience of 6 to 11 years as a Sourcer/Researcher in a search firm / agency or in an in-house Corporate Recruiting environment (ideal is to have exposure to both worlds).
  • Strong Technical Recruiting / Sourcing Expertise - Functional knowledge & Tech acumen.
  • Attention to detail, Be Self-Driven & have a Natural Curiosity.
  • Be a trusted advisor, Drive for Results with Impact and Influence.
  • Proven track record of innovation & creativity and Cross-boundary partnerships.
  • Active participation in building a positive team environment.
  • Effective strategic thinking and problem solving with a learner mindset.
  • Ability to understand, articulate and sell Uber culture and business initiatives.
  • Evidence of building candidate relationships and managing a network of Tech talent.
  • Successful Project Management abilities, delivering upon work streams within high-priority projects
