About the role:
The Uber Freight business is growing, and is expanding internationally. It's our vision at Uber Freight to transform the industry by creating an efficient, safe, and a high-quality experience for commercial shippers and carriers by matching freight loads through technology.

Our Operations teams are the heart and soul of Uber Freight. The Regional Account Ops Manager role has a direct impact on the growth of our business and is responsible for developing initiatives that optimise the shipper experience on Uber Freight's platform. This data-driven role calls for a combination of analytical thinking, operational prowess, and interpersonal ability to manage relationships with a very valuable part of our business; our shippers.

What you'll do:

  • Automation. Identify opportunities to optimise or automate a larger part of our processes (e.g. creation of loads, simple support requests...), and deliver on them
  • Analytics. Utilize data to understand shipper behavior, identify areas for improvement in our interactions with shippers and improve the performance of our account managers
  • Develop & Optimize Processes. Take big picture ideas and projects and break them into actionable steps with aggressive timelines for completion.
  • Stakeholder Management. Work closely with the US and European Account Ops teams, and the broader Uber Freight business to continually identify and drive new solutions

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred
  • 3+ years work experience (e.g. Strategy Consulting, Engineering, Banking, Start-ups, ...) with previous experience using data to drive business decisions. Industry knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent Excel skills and SQL experience required
  • Good understanding of R and / or Python
  • Demonstrated ability to influence the performance of client success or account management
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution
