Eater Operations Business Strategy Lead, Uber Eats

About the Role

As a core partner to our Eater Operations teams, you will help to lead strategic decision making throughout the US&CAN region through a data-driven approach and an operational mindset. The ideal candidate for this role should have a proven track record in team management and strategy, strong analytics, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to clearly communicate and present information to seek buy-in. You will lead a team that drives projects to help Uber Eats leverage its data to make better, faster business decisions, specifically as it relates to eaters. You will be a strategic thought partner to the US & Canada Eater Operations & leadership teams, and your team will develop data-driven insights, formulate strategy, define plans, and facilitate execution to support high-impact initiatives. Besides working across the courier team, you will also work closely with Product and Data Science to ensure insights inform broader strategic initiatives and drive Eats' growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of business intelligence analysts and strategists focused on providing insights to understand eater dynamics, develop a cohesive strategy for the overall eater business, programs and solutions to build for our end-to-end ecosystem, drive accountability and visibility of progress against goals, surface gaps and opportunities, and prioritize actions to improve business results
  • Assist other Eater Operations teams on strategic projects to accelerate impact
  • Lead your team to define analytical frameworks to optimize strategic decisions and build scalable tools and dashboards to boost efficiency and effectiveness for our teams
  • Work closely with other members of the regional team to measure and communicate the impact and efficiency of our programs and solutions
  • Present analyses and findings to team leaders, Eats leadership and cross functional partner

What You'll Need

  • At least 6 years of operations management experience; 3+ of those years in investment banking / consulting / business intelligence / strategy or related experience; some high-growth operations or startup experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong people management skills and proven track record
  • Self starter with an analytical orientation; empathetic and leans in and embraces rolling up your sleeves with your team; skilled at balancing between short-term needs and long-term investments; thrives on change and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Bias toward action and constant push for clarity and execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as stakeholder management, consensus building and project management
  • Exceptional Excel / data management skills
  • SQL proficiency strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, physics, chemistry, engineering, economics, computer science, operational research); MBA degree highly desired, but not required
