Law Enforcement Operations, South Cone Liaison

About the Role

We're seeking Law Enforcement Liaison for South Cone region (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay). This is a highly dynamic role including routine and ad-hoc responsibilities requiring remote direct supervision. You will be responsible for leading Uber's relationship with police in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay & Paraguay, developing innovative solutions to engage and work with police; promoting Uber's commitment to safety, privacy and transparency. Supporting police investigation teams in response to critical safety incidents and criminal investigations. Guiding and advising the business on how best to partner with the law enforcement community in the pursuit of community safety.

What You'll Do

• Liaise with law enforcement leaders promoting a positive, open and collaborative relationship.
• Significant time training police in a classroom or auditorium setting on how Uber supports criminal investigations in a legal and ethical manner.
• Ensure user safety by supporting police following critical incidents or criminal investigations.
• Contribute to incident response, helping the business to identify actions to reduce risk.
• Produce accurate and timely incident updates and post-incident reports.
• Collaborate with Uber's security team to minimize threats to our platform.
• Travel within the region to conduct face to face meetings and training.

What You'll Need

• 05 or more years of experience working on a Law Enforcement Operations or proven experience working with policing agencies, prosecutors, attorneys and/or data protection authorities but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
• Comfortable interacting with police including investigators through Chief of Police levels, prosecutors and judges.
• Experience delivering evidence during criminal proceedings is essential (in court testimonial experience)
• Ideally, demonstrated having worked investigations in conjunction with industry or alternatively worked public/private partnerships.
• Ability to be comfortable providing training to law enforcement in a large group setting and answering questions related to Uber's stance on safety and tools.
• Ability to proactively engage law enforcement authorities in support of critical incidents in-region.
• Be able to demonstrate a depth of understanding of legal processes in the region.
• Ability to communicate to Uber Managers and regional Uber stakeholders, written products on a regular cadence.
• Demonstrated relationship with multiple Law Enforcement agencies is preferred
• The successful candidate will be well versed in Uber's business model, products and privacy policy.
• Written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
