Head of Global WFM Enablement and Strategy

About the role

The Head of WFM - Global Enablement and Strategy is responsible for managing a team of Program Managers who care for global projects such as Safety, U4B as well as supporting our WFM tools.This role will partner closely with regional teams within Global Community Operations to enhance, change and implement new WFM programs, processes and policies across the network.You will be a key partner in developing our global WFM strategy, launching new modalities and establishing new service offerings. This is a very senior role within the global Uber WFM organization and will need to be prepared to present and work with executive level stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Global Head of WFM.

What you'll do

  • Develop strategy for global Workforce Management with an emphasis on streamlining processes and creating efficiencies across the network
  • Project manage new work that comes to WFM
  • Promote continuous process improvement for existing work within the regions, while looking for ways to make it globally standard
  • Strategic business planning for the WFM network team from design to communication to execution
  • Development of communications platform to inform regional and global stakeholders on WFM programs, policies and strategy
  • Manage a team responsible for WFM Program Management globally

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Project Management experience
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Workforce Management
  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management
  • Knowledge of Google sheets, Excel, and Google slides
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal skills. Ability to influence others by using data
  • Excellent decision making skills in an environment with ambiguity regarding data and business conditions
  • High levels of stakeholder management
  • Self starter
  • Ability to present to higher levels of management
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule needed
  • Up to 30% travel globally

Bonus points

  • Experience working in large scale, global customer support environments
  • Experience in heading a WFM department and managing managers
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages to automate processes (e.g. Python)
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Yellow/Green Belt Six Sigma

About the Team

Global WFM Enablement team is responsible for the creation of standardized process across the vast Uber network for Community Operations. The team supports the various regional operations with global initiatives to ensure effectiveness in implementation.
