Uber is searching for a Compensation Analyst to join our rapidly growing team. Our success brings us unique challenges - join us as we build innovative and creative solutions! You'll serve as a key member of the broader global People Operations team and interact regularly with the people team and business leaders. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic comp professional with a knack for getting things done. We'll need you to have both strategic and hands-on experience, as well as a mix of entrepreneurial and large, high-growth company experience. This position is a great opportunity to provide vision and direction around strategic compensation program delivery. Ideal candidate thrives in a very fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Our compensation team is currently based out of our San Francisco global headquarters.

In this role you'll help drive the success of Uber's participate in market analysis, the annual compensation benchmarking process, build large-scale models, and exhibit expertise in complex program details. You will provide data based insights to help make strategic improvements to the programs.

What You'll Do

  • Work with recruiting and business leaders to develop offers
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, for measurement and tracking of key compensation and recruiting-related metrics to help inform, influence, support, and execute business decisions
  • Participate in the research for, and ongoing development and administration of new hire compensation programs that matches Uber's needs
  • Develop and update quantitative models to assess compensation practice and competitive position
  • Build reusable technology to scale and sustain program delivery and reusable analytics to automate insights and findings
  • Design and author compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation program decisions and forecast, report, and/or analyze compensation business outcomes
  • Participate in the development and completion of compensation processes and initiatives such as annual compensation reviews, job performance and ad hoc analyses. Formulate recommendations regarding regular review and updates to the compensation structure.
  • Participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to help set the company's compensation position
  • Produce ad hoc analyses with quick turnarounds based on business requests

What You'll Need

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional, fast-paced environment. A strong background in Compensation and Mathematics, Finance, Statistics or Economics preferred
  • Minimum of 1 years progressive Human Resources and compensation experience with increasing levels of responsibility in identifying, consulting, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' challenges
  • Consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience working within broad based compensation with a focus on G&A groups is a plus
  • Strong analytical capabilities, familiarity with broader underlying concepts, and ability to communicate persuasively with business partners to resolve highly complex problems and recommend or produce best solutions for their client
  • Works independently to drive and manage projects across multiple functions and client groups, utilizing subject matter expertise and knowledge of both internal and external business practices to improve products or service offerings
  • Works regularly and comfortably with high-level individual contributors and managers across multiple functions
  • Strong planning, project management, organizational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to adapt and work effectively in a matrix organization with competing deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
