About the Role
This is a role for a strong, analytical operator, focusing on driver (supply) growth and innovating to extend the Uber presence in a relevant and thoughtful way across the markets that you are accountable for. As the Head of Driver Operations, you'll be responsible for managing a team of high-performing team members across supply-side and product-focused areas.. You will report directly to the General Manager of Korea.
This role requires excellent collaboration across different functional and specialized teams, and is required to bridge the gap with local, Regional, and HQ teams. We need leaders that are visionaries and can build, coach and inspire high performing teams to reach their potential. We believe in building globally and living locally - so understanding your markets and collaborating with global teams to ensure relevant solutions is key.
What You'll Do
What You'll Need
10+ years of experience, preferably in sales, operations, and /or consulting; some entrepreneurial experience is preferred.
2+ years of experience managing a rapidly growing team with multiple direct reports.
Clear communicator. You are a clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly, highlight the important points, and disseminate actionable insights.
Demonstrated decision-making skills. You think critically about all angles of a problem, digging in deeper where needed, and make smart long-term decisions.
Strategic planning. You break down broad problems to create prioritized forward-thinking action plans.
Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength.
Explorer - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role. Self-starter attitude is a must!
Comfort with ambiguity. You are unfazed by executing on projects where all the information is not always available and priorities can change as more data comes to bear.
A high bar across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on.
Exceptional data management skills.
You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on; you persevere when others fall away.
Undergraduate degree required. MBA is a plus.
SQL proficiency is a plus but not a must.
