About the Role
The Quality Engineering Technician is mainly responsible for inspection activities related to electro-mechanical components, assemblies and subsystems, tracking results, and handling non-conforming products in a processed manner in order to deliver safe, reliable and high quality LiDAR components, assemblies and subsystems for their integration into Uber's sensor platform. The successful candidate will be capable of performing inspection functions within manufacturing facilities, diligently track and record inspection results, and possess the ability to create charts, tables, and/or reports to communicate inspection results to stakeholders. The Quality Engineering Technician must use hands-on inspection (GD&T) techniques to evaluate and record/report any quality issues that arise during inspection processes related to first article (FAI), incoming (IQC), in-process (IPQC), and outgoing (OQC) inspections.
