About the Role

As we build and scale our Sales Operations functions to support Uber Eats, we are building a Global Sales Compensation team to develop, implement, and administer sales compensation plans.

This team will program manage the end-to-end process of aligning compensation plans with business priorities to drive engagement and reward Acquisition Sales and Account Management performance. And be responsible for ensuring that compensation plans are well documented, implemented correctly in Xactly (or other systems), and partner with Sales leadership to effectively set up the incentive structure, plan design and evaluation to drive accountability and program impact, provide accurate and timely tracking of attainment and calculation of payouts, and other aspects of compensation administration.

What You'll Do

  • Own analyses of compensation data, gathering of business objectives, and assessment of industry practices to provide recommendations for annual compensation planning

  • Conduct analyses of historic performance and compensation data, evaluate different metrics, and ensure alignment with Finance targets to inform bottom-up forecasting and quarterly quota setting

  • Manage comp administration of specific plans including compensation letters, accurate attainment reporting and statements, timely payouts, and responding to plan design exception requests from Sales leadership

  • Project manage discrete initiatives to improve quota and attainment tracking accuracy, pay timeliness, plan comprehension, and effectiveness of variable incentives to improve Sales engagement and performance spanning process and systems enhancements

  • Become an expert across specific comp plans with deep understanding of processes and drivers. Staying flexible including recommending SPIF or other incentives to drive sales of specific products or new sales behaviors

  • Provide accurate attainment reporting, insights on plan effectiveness, trends on front-line manager and rep performance and commissions, and analyses to inform potential plan improvement

  • Build and maintain models to track and forecast program costs, break-even, and ROI. Provide Finance with reporting on commission cost trends and drivers

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree (e.g,. Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting)

  • 4+ years of work experience with 2 years of relevant experience in Sales Compensation or Sales Operations preferably in a fast growing B2B environment

  • Understanding and experience with sales compensation structures and mechanics (e.g., plan components and weights, pay mix, leverage, quotas, MBOs, crediting, accelerators)

  • Prior responsibility for providing consistent execution and accurate measurement of sales incentive programs

  • Strong analytical skills including advanced modeling and SQL skills as it pertains to compensation plan design, quota setting, and attainment tracking. Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and process standardization

  • Experience with systems (e.g., Xactly) to administer sales compensation and working knowledge of Salesforce as it pertains to sales performance reporting

  • Self starter who embraces rolling up your sleeves; skilled at process optimization; thrives on change and comfortable with ambiguity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Consensus builder and experience in providing supporting analysis (quantitative and qualitative) to gain alignment on comp plan and quota recommendations

  • Strong personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity and trust. Strong references from former employers and business partners; passion for building relationships
