About the Role

The Deal Desk Associate role is a unique opportunity to help build our Deal Desk across our global regions, including EMEA, Asia and the Americas. The Deal Desk is the nerve center for all things restaurant partner related with a primary focus on supporting our Sales teams with restaurant pricing.

In this role, you will help build best-in-class pricing and approval processes, design standard operating procedures, support overall pricing projects, and aid operational deal reviews. In doing so, you'll make a direct impact by turning Uber Eats into the most trusted, go-to service for as many partners as possible. Due to our growth strategy and the important focus on pricing and partnerships, you will work closely with regional leadership and have a wide range of stakeholders from different departments and countries.

In this role you will become a valued member of the global Sales Ops team.

What you'll do:

  • Work within our Global Deal Desk Team based in Amsterdam, part of the exciting and quickly growing UberEats business;
  • Coordinate/own the approval flows for the operational deal desk; you help define and build approval processes in SalesForce;
  • Innovate our deal approval workflow to enhance our approval and pricing processes and help design the future of pricing automation;
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Product, Tax and Legal teams to create a standard operating procedure for structuring restaurant deals and contracts;
  • Drive compliance by working with our legal and tax team to ensure everything we do is set up in a compliant manner;
  • Support pricing projects and assess the competitive environment and operational impact;
  • Create training material and train Sales teams to drive operational efficiencies

What you Need:

  • At least 3-6 years of experience with a track record of steadily growing responsibility in sales operations, business analytics, pricing, or similar roles which combine commercial insight with analytical skills
  • Bias for action; self starter who likes managing large projects from design to implementation
  • Great attention to detail, but can also understand the bigger picture/context. Eager to switch between strategic and operational functions
  • Highly curious and quick learner who thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - numbers are key, but a business is built with people. Relationship building and adept communication are essential in our fast-moving environment
  • Extensive knowledge of SFDC is necessary, both with regard to understanding sales processes and how to set up and run reports
  • Advanced Excel/G-Sheets necessary. SQL skills are preferred but not essential
  • Must be flexible with schedule - partnering with Asia and the Americas can result in meetings a little earlier & later than the typical workday
