About the Role

We are seeking a sharp, analytical and highly-organized individual to create and execute on financing and vehicles solutions in order to provide Uber driver partners with business offerings tailored to their needs.

This is a key piece in our strategy, and a part of a priority effort with major auto-manufacturers and financiers to help catalyze Uber's growth by building buyers (of vehicles) funnel. This is a unique opportunity, with a focus on building, managing and scaling this platform in India, with a clear and meaningful impact on our partner's earnings.

The ideal candidate has a very comprehensive skill set. In addition to strong eye for capturing value through deals, the role requires a strong operational mind, as guiding our city operations teams in scaling the platform is a key part of the role. This role is pivotal to develop strategic initiatives critical to the efficient scaling of Uber's operations across the country and beyond.

What You'll Do

  • Create and run Uber's vehicle solutions mandate across India
  • Work with Business Development/ Partnership teams to leverage Uber partnerships with car-manufacturers, financiers & used car companies
  • Work with product team to rollout products and process that interface with some of Uber's key vehicle partners to unlock efficiencies and unleash new vehicle supply growth opportunities for Uber; combining strategic thinking with crisp execution to deliver unique value-creating products and services
  • Working to optimise the cost of new supply for the region and running with a mandate to build long term sustainable supply
  • Design and deploy the tools (e.g. salesforce), processes and dashboards to effectively deploy processes that can scale with Uber's growth in India
  • Develop playbook and standardize the VF (Vehicle Financing) process across India
  • Conduct detailed metrics-based analysis informing the execution of these partnerships and implement process improvements
  • Work with India Vehicle Solutions (Product) team to customize product design for India
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders partners in the execution of all vehicle solutions initiatives: country operations teams, engineering, product, finance, and external partners
  • Participate in driver/partner onboarding and training events related to Vehicle Financing

What You'll Need

  • You'll need to be resourceful to leverage existing as well as help establish new relationships with the right auto manufacturers and financing companies in India
  • Strong understanding of the auto (commercial cars) industry
  • 7+ Years of operations or strategy experience
  • Analytical thinking ability; SQL ability a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of Uber operational tools and processes
  • Track record of managing projects and working on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • Strong communication and organization skills with being and effective team player
  • Data-driven decision making mentality and sound business acumen through strong analytical thinking
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial, high achiever, ability to deliver projects with full autonomy and within demanding timelines
