About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, FRM in the "Product, Emerging Risk & Special Projects" vertical; This team is responsible for addressing risk in emerging and high growth products and risk integration of acquisitions. This role is responsible for partnering with Uber lines of Business to support and build an integrated risk management program. You will manage a small team, help with the strategic direction of the organization, and be involved in project planning and prioritization. Core to our mission is providing expert advice to our partners, therefore a large portion of time will be spent building strategic relationships with various product lines. The successful applicant will work closely with business process owners, product leaders, finance and Uber's auditors to manage financial risk.
Given Uber's hyper growth there is a significant building component of the framework, and process redesign, including providing pragmatic solutions to executives to address current and emerging risks.

Financial Risk Management (FRM) is the team responsible for understanding, analyzing and responding to risk events across Uber, with a particular focus on managing financial risks and designing sustainable processes to support an efficient control environment. Its mandate is to partner with the business to proactively manage risk and maintain an effective and efficient control environment. Whenever change occurs, there is risk; in order to respond to the ever-changing nature of Uber a focus on risk is required to ensure we are compliant with statutory requirements and understand the impact of risk and use it to make informed decisions.
