About the Role

You will serve as a key member of the Uber Corporate Development team, working on some of the most interesting, high impact and intellectually stimulating projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a team and lead deals that has a major impact on the direction of the Company as well as with senior leadership at Uber.

What You'll Do

  • Develop M&A strategy and identify potential corporate development opportunities for Uber across all its businesses (ridesharing, eats, freight, new mobility, autonomous and other Uber business lines & technology)
  • Initiate and build relationships with key corporate development targets and potential targets.

  • Execute on Uber's top corporate development opportunities while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. product, engineering, finance, legal, etc.)

  • Lead deal execution, including negotiations and stakeholder management
  • Drive and support integration related efforts from M&A activities
  • Manage and develop a team of high potential individuals
  • Prepare and give business reviews to Uber senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks
  • Identify and build relationships with potential targets
  • Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast and exciting pace of our company

What You'll Need

  • 12+ years of total work experience at a leading investment bank, private equity or consulting firm and/or in corporate development at a tech company
  • MBA strongly preferred but not required.
  • Deep experience working with Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) or Industrial/Transport companies
  • Strong network and experience with establishing, maintaining and leveraging C-level relationships at partner companies.
  • Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex,multi-faceted deals.
  • Formative experience with a technology company whose app has been adopted by millions of users.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to lead deals from origination to integration
