About the Role

We are searching for a Program Manager, Legal Compliance who will continue the work of building and operationalizing a world class compliance program for all of Uber. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and to work on cutting edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Director, Legal Compliance, and is based in Uber's corporate HQ in San Francisco.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work directly with the Legal Compliance team to design and execute effective automated processes for third party screening, due diligence and other compliance processes
  • Help design and execute Uber's compliance transaction monitoring system, including building interfaces with Uber's Travel and Expense and ERP systems
  • Design and use dashboards to assess compliance risks
  • Assist with third party due diligence and risk-based testing and monitoring for real-time identification of issues
  • Collect and analyze compliance metrics to identify key risks and trends and evaluate and improve program effectiveness
  • Help the team build and use scalable tools and dashboards to assess impact and improve decision-making
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Travel and Expense, and Purchasing teams to optimize automation and process flows

WHO YOU ARE

  • Minimum 6+ years experience implementing and executing compliance, risk or legal systems
  • Strong technical, analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to test assumptions, recommendations and drive decision-making
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Solid experience developing and implementing compliance frameworks
  • Expert project management skills - planning, status reporting, project risk identification and mitigation
  • Demonstrated ability to implement business-friendly program management and monitoring techniques, tools and best practices in high risk industries
  • Google suite proficiency with Tableau (or similar data visualization tools) is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Concur and Oracle is preferred
  • Dynamic and resilient individual with the demonstrated ability to make decisions and influence, persuade and build consensus in a fast paced environment
  • Unquestioned integrity and ethics in business and personal conduct
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and influence employees at every level to embrace compliance initiatives
  • Fluency in English is required
