About the Role

As Uber continues to expand around the world, the Global Business Development (BD) team is looking for a charismatic, experienced and hands-on executive to grow our team in India South Asia region. The Business Development Team plays a critical role in leveraging third party relationships to accelerate and amplify Uber's overall strategy and growth in India and South Asia.

The Business Development Lead, Bangladesh is someone who is deeply interested in contributing to, and building long-term successful partnerships with high profile companies across Bangladesh. They thrive in a fast-paced technology company and possess strong interpersonal skills to maximize value in partnership negotiations. Successful candidates will bring a dynamic combination of IQ and EQ, an ability to think strategically and execute tactically.They manage multiple deals in a complex but exciting environment, and are willing to invest their energy into building long-lasting partnerships in order to unlock significant growth for Uber.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with regional leadership to formulate strategy and identify how to deliver business priorities, as well as new business initiatives incl. big bold bets
  • Contribute to the evaluation, prioritisation and execution of strategic partnerships across Uber. This will include partnership strategy, sourcing, analysis, negotiation and implementation
  • Perform a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses, as well as regular reporting, in order to help sell in new partnership opportunities, as well as build on existing partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners across Operations, Product, Marketing, Legal, Comms & Policy to bring 'first of their kind' partnerships to life
  • Support in the development of long term, mutually beneficial relationships with senior executives of current and prospective partners who assist in the delivery of Uber's growth
  • Support wider BD team in the development, tracking and reporting of deal metrics and communicate impact to internal and external stakeholders
  • Handle a high volume of internal and external engagements and the fast pace of our company
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of, and keep up to date with, the Uber & Uber Eats business and its functions in order to deliver the highest impact on prospective partnerships.

What You'll Need

  • 6+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking or oriented to business development, strategic partnership management
  • Well-rounded profile: ability to combine business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals
  • Highly analytical with strong financial modeling and complex problem solving skills
  • Ability to establish, maintain and leverage mutually beneficial relationships at partner companies
  • Excellent judgment, positive attitude, hustle, demonstrated history of success
  • Ability to successfully influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (including building and delivering presentations)
  • Adaptability to change within a fast paced corporate environment
