About the Role

At Uber we strive for excellence in everything we do. For this reason, whenever we launch a new support channel we first pilot it within the Center of Excellence, located in Phoenix, Arizona (201 E. Washington St). The Special Projects Operations Team (SPOT) is a workflow incubation team. One that works across the organization and assists Operations in facilitating completion of short-term processes or optimization of long-term initiatives.

As a SPOT COE Specialist you will be tasked in quickly and accurately completing process work on a variety of business-critical tasks that are marked as too sensitive or too new to move to a permanent home. This role relies on multiple tools and modalities to ensure our partner supply is not impacted by regulatory change.

This role changes on a daily basis. Your Monday will not look like your Friday and maintaining an open mind to these changes is crucial.

This role is part-time with a fixed three month contract allowing up to 23 hours per week.

What You'll Do

  • Follow process maps to complete ad-hoc processing tasks to provide support to various crucial initiatives to US/CA
  • Investigate fraud instances and action / adjudicate users accordingly.
  • Conduct scripted outbound call campaigns on the most critical issues, taking to 100+ partners within a shift.
  • Daily execution on 200+ crucial processes, ensuring 100% delivery week over week.
  • Support supply campaigns aimed at getting Partners on the road
    Update and audit partner documentation

What You'll Need

  • Advanced Google Sheets skills
  • An extremely high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high level stakeholders, including Legal, Accounts Payable, and Operations
  • Demonstrated ability to turn feedback into policy and process changes
  • Proven ability to remotely manage stakeholders across many functions both domestically and globally
  • Excellent writing skills, ability to switch tones between internal technical process and external customer communication
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle time effectively

  • Seeking Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Strong analytical/technical skills
  • SQL / Python / Google Apps scripting
  • Quality assurance background
