Sr Manager, Workforce Strategy - JUMP

About the Role

The Workforce Strategy Manager leads the strategy and development of the Contingent Workforce Program for JUMP's Operations. You're going to be build this strategy completely from scratch and from the ground up. You'll set the strategy for acquisition of our contingent workforce, define the goals and standards for the workforce and the program, and define the measures of success for both as well. You'll also optimize our technology solutions, vendor effectiveness, and hold vendors accountable to ensure effective program delivery. Your team is a strategic partner to all of our cities across the US, enabling them to be most efficient and effective in their operations. You'll provide best practices as well as guidance across our stakeholder groups impacted by and involved in workforce planning.

The Central Operations - JUMP team (that this role sits ini) is tasked with delivering improvements at scale, focusing on efficiency, and raising the bar of quality across our operations. We are also the voice of our Operations teams to the internal world. We work to centralize processes where possible and where not possible, provide standards and recommendations to local teams on how they can execute their processes more efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Develop contingent workforce strategy across all operations
  • Define management routines, clear lines of accountability and division of labor between and within Workforce Management and on-the-ground Operations teams
  • Maintain expertise regarding workforce management industry best practices and trends
  • Develop and deploy best practices for workforce management, employee engagement and capacity planning
  • Proactively participate in strategic planning conversations with regards to future operational staff needs (e.g., sourcing, location, skill set, business model, workload routing)
  • Identify opportunities for increased value in working with the contingent workforce staffing vendors on process/productivity improvement and automation.
  • Develop and implement onboard and offboard process for contingent workers and ensure training/change management for Operations teams.
  • Analyze overall vendor performance across all programs on regular basis to ensure objectives are met or exceeded, (e.g., actuals vs budget, attrition, etc.)

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, with experience in a leadership role with direct responsibility for Contingent Workforce Strategy
  • Experience interacting senior-level executives
  • Demonstrated success establishing or transforming national workforce strategies involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience leading complex global business transformation in an operational environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and organization skills.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking skills
  • Entrepreneurship mentality. Must be a self-starter. Self-motivated, works independently and possesses strong organization and time management skills.
  • Experience with data-based decision-making, exercising good judgement in ambiguous circumstances, and effectively communicating across a diverse team.
  • Mentality that no project is too big or too small to give their full 100%. Doesn't hesitate to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships, manage stakeholders, and create a strong partnership between Central Ops and other teams across the business.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
