This role is part of Regional Operations team for Uber Eats business in the APAC region. The mission of this team is to drive initiatives across APAC region to ensure efficiency and growth across various verticals in the business. The role is focused on fostering a specific skill-set (computer science) that partners with a vast number of business partners for Eats in APAC (Sales, Regional Ops, CommOps, Performance Marketing etc.)

Uber Eats business is growing rapidly with vision to transform the food delivery industry by creating an efficient, safe, and a high quality experience for its customers or partners. The Regional Automation Manager role is a unique opportunity to be on the ground floor building new processes for the Uber Eats business. It will need a rare combination of technical skills, analytical thinking, operational prowess, and interpersonal ability to setup processes for the operations team across APAC region.
We are looking for someone with serious operations resourcefulness; someone who isn't afraid to jump into the front lines to figure out the business and operational problems, and has the technical skills to find or build a better solution; someone who is opportunistic in finding new ways to plug in and add value to either existing processes or new ones that have yet to be created (more than just automating existing items); someone who understands and speaks operations and technology equally well; someone who is opportunistic in finding new ways to plug in and add value to either existing processes or new ones that have yet to be created (more than just automating existing items).
What You'll Need
This is a technical role which requires working with regional, central and local operations team members on building automated processes and tools, primarily in Python. It will also require working with global product team on processes that have been built and create POV for what should be (1) handed to product, (2) coordinate with other regions for broader process running, or (3) kept at APAC only level.
