About the Role

Lead the LatAm Central Operations Trust & Safety, Analytics and Compliance team, focused on everything related to getting and keeping the right drivers and riders on the platform, and ensuring our drivers and riders understand that safety is our #1 priority, via Analytics and Compliance initiatives. Safety is a critical issue that resonates everywhere Uber operates but specifically in LatAm. It's crucial for our users, our business, and our brand and Uber is committed to making Safety our top priority globally.

We are growing our safety team to drive focus on this priority. This team will set the strategy and drive innovation across the business to raise the bar on safety in transport space and build public trust in the safety of our platform. What You'll Do

  • Manage the team that owns analytics and compliance in LatAm to ensure that Uber is the ridesharing platform of choice when it comes to safety
  • Manage, report and respond to safety-related incidents and trends, investigating suspicious activity and behavior, and identifying risks to Uber, partner-drivers and riders
  • Oversee the design and implementation process for early identification of trends and/or escalations in safety incidents and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to address in a proactive fashion
  • Be the counterpart to the Safety Regional Managers team, acting as a leader to help businesses across the region prioritize and execute the right initiatives
  • Work closely with the territory teams of Latin America to understand local analytics and compliance problems that need regional solutions

What You'll Need

  • This role requires leadership and stakeholder management experience
  • 6 Minimum Years of Experience, preferrably with experience managing analytics or compliance teams
  • SQL knowledge is a must, R and Python are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Demonstrated leadership on projects and initiatives at your organization
  • Attention to detail and comfort with ambiguity in an ever-changing environment
  • Passion for problem solving and delivering creative solutions
