About the Role

The New Mobility team at Uber is building products to support the new Mobility business, which includes Bikes and Scooters, both under the JUMP brand (acquired by Uber) and in partnership with other providers.

As a Product Analyst on the New Mobility team, you will be responsible for understanding the bikes and scooter product and growth performance through data, including finding insights and discovering new trends and engagement obstacles. You will need to have a solid foundation in analyzing data, relating it to business problems, and communicating analytic results with product managers and decision-makers in a clear and actionable fashion. This role offers frequent interactions with managers and and partner functions (Strategy & Planning, Operations).

What you'll do

  • Understand the big picture of the New Mobility business in its fast growth phase by using data-driven insights to identify opportunities and recommend prioritization of product and growth strategy initiatives
  • Define business metrics, including Key Performance Indicators, for New Mobility products, in close partnership with Product Management and other leaders
  • Build visualizations to communicate data and metrics
  • Prioritize and track the portfolio of product experiments conducted across Rider Growth
  • Present findings to senior management to drive business decisions
  • Mentor and develop junior analysts (if senior)
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders, possibly internationally, to influence rider growth strategy and assemble a bit picture of growth opportunities

What you'll need

  • At least 5 years of experience in a quantitative analysis role
  • BA/BS/MS in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative field preferred (advanced degrees are a plus)
  • Excellent SQL skills and experience in at least one scripting language (Python or R preferred)
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods
  • Willingness to learn new methodologies and adapt to business needs and goal
  • understand and prioritize business goals and strategies
  • Ability to deliver on tight timelines and move quickly with cross-functional teams to execute on decisions while maintaining attention to detail
  • Self-driven with the ability to work in a self-guided manner
  • Superb communication and organization skills
