About the Role

Uber is looking for an India SA Regional Manager to lead driver sourcing and acquisition. This person will own the charter of driver growth for India and South Asia region. This role will need designing and executing processes, projects, communications, and experiments driven by a deep and analytical understanding of our business.

The individual will need to develop robust and streamlined processes to acquire, engage and retain partner-drivers facing a multitude of complex needs and bottlenecks. This requires a commitment to operational excellence, a deep understanding of driver lifecycle and economics, and capacity for out-of-the-box thinking with a customer centric mindset to implement high impact initiatives to develop partner-driver engagement. Essentially, a business athlete with ambition and drive, capable of building partnerships to support a variety of high-priority Uber initiatives for sourcing of drivers.

What You'll Do

  • * Build and lead, from the ground up, Uber's acquisition strategy for driver partners across India SA
    • Driver acquisition- Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage strategic driver sourcing partnerships and driver development
    • Lead end-to-end deal processes: strategy, sourcing, analysis, negotiation, and implementation, with significant autonomy
    • Build the offline channel for always-on driver leads funnel
    • Closely manage lead flow, pipeline progression, and accurately forecast the supply acquisition for driver partners
    • Analytics -- Analysis of driver, partners, and customer metrics to properly allocate supply, guide incentive programs, and ensure high-quality experiences on the Uber system
    • Hustle & Creative Solutioning -- You will be constantly innovating to manage situations unique to your city
    • Bring your analytical A-game. You'll be building business models, performing analysis to understand trends, provide actionable insights, and track productivity and success of initiatives to ensure we're driving toward the best possible outcome
    • Drive initiatives. You will drive and support key initiatives across our supply growth team to grow strategic and long term opportunities with our various partners. This involves wearing many hats and jumping in to help your teammates when the needs arise

What You'll Need

  • 6-9 years of Business Development, strategic partnerships or alliances, or account management, but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
  • Experience in building and scaling offline channel across India region is desirable
  • High throughput. Your strong bias towards action helped you earn the reputation of someone who gets things done. You love having a lot on your plate and get energy from being busy
  • The athlete's mentality. You're an all around player, flexing and stretching your analytical prowess, pitching in as needed but also knowing when to take control and lead a conversation be it with an engineer, a product manager, or a C-level executive.
  • Excellent judgment, positive attitude, hustle, demonstrated a history of success
  • Strong interpersonal skills which allow you to build trust and negotiate hard with partners, and adeptly manage the cross-functional coordination (local city operations, finance, legal) required to implement deals
