About the Role

The People Development Business Partner will join the Learning & Development team and work with business partners to consult and deliver on Uber's people and organizational development needs in ACAC. The training expertise and solutions you help provide the business will benefit managers, teams and individual contributors. Successful candidates will be passionate about training and growth that supports people in ways that help Uber be great in Latam.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with business leadership and HR to diagnose learning and development needs in the region and design extraordinary solutions
  • Bring hands-on experience in team enablement and team coaching consultancy
  • Shape and leverage KPIs, company and learner data, and improve existing programs in ways that drive impact and efficiency
  • Create strategies, plans and design alongside Uber learning orgs and across learning life-cycles for managers, teams and individual contributors to meet current and future business needs
  • Wear strategy and execution hats simultaneously -- maintaining a big-picture view while getting into the details
  • Own and guide the direction for the People Development initiatives you lead, both for ACAC as well as Latam wide
  • Shape big-picture views of how to assess, promote and improve the learning experience and how it impacts business priorities and objectives
  • Help guide and deliver on operational details, delivering programs flawlessly, owning all details of implementation
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the Uber learner experience
  • Facilitate live and virtual programs in a way that is tailored and relevant to each audience
  • Manage diverse sets of partners across Uber's People teams to get work done fast and in a way that is relevant

What You'll Need

  • BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience in L&D for adult professionals
  • 6+ years of experience in talent development, organizational development, professional development, adult learning, or other related people field
  • Experience designing and leading onsite and online L&D initiatives
  • Experience with owning business outcomes for L&D initiatives
  • Proven ability to get things done in a highly matrixed and relationship-based organization
  • Proven skills with managing multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment and the ability to work to tight timescales
  • Strong curiosity and the ability to innovate and creatively look for ways to strengthen processes and outcomes
  • High comfort level with navigating through systems and tools to constantly uncover potential operational efficiencies
  • Proven dedication to continuous learning and practice of consistently striving to be better than your last best self
  • Experience working with senior leaders on talent strategy

Bonus Points

  • Project or program management skills
  • Own a network of trusted L&D vendors who can design, develop and deliver learning
  • Certified in psychometric assessments (specifically DiSC or Insights Discovery) or development programs (e.g. Situational Leadership)
  • Graduate degree in adult learning, organizational development, organizational behavior, industrial-organizational psychology, or human resources
