Copywriter, Uber Eats - EMEA

About the role

Our regional central office in Amsterdam delivers creative solutions to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We are looking for a highly creative, talented and experienced copywriter to help further shape our brand identity and consistency in markets.

It is an exciting time to join Uber Eats, as it is still a young brand and we are defining the brand look and tone. You will be highly involved in defining the brand across various channels for all EMEA markets.

Building our creative team (within our EMEA wide creative and brand team), you will create branded content and materials across CRM and performance marketing channels, including: emails, banners, SEO, out of home, online, social, and physical brand installations. You will execute work targeted to consumers, as well as towards restaurant partners and couriers.

As Uber Eats is still a young brand, you will work closely with the Creative Director, designer and Senior Brand Designer in defining our brand look and tone.

Candidates should be excellent communicators, comfortable in a high-velocity startup environment, and passionate about building the Uber Eats brand.

What You'll Do

  • Be responsible for building and maintaining a high standard of creative quality across the region
  • Conceptualize and write content across various channels for CRM and performance marketing including email, banners, SEO, and social copy as well as OOH and physical brand installations
  • Conceptualize and brainstorm with larger group on activations across our owned channels, including social, blog, and PR-initiatives
  • Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, UX / visual designers and technologists to develop innovative and persuasive communications that push the brand to new heights
  • Ensure that all copy outputs are in line with the regional and global brand guidelines
  • Present work to key stakeholders, creative directors and local markets
  • Be responsible for judging the strengths and weakness of creative work while providing feedback and guidance for vendors and production partners
  • Be involved in projects throughout all stages of production. Brief building, concepting, refinement, production and implementation
  • Create concepts and copy for a wide range of marketing needs

What You'll Need

  • 4+ years working as a copywriter at a creative agency or comparable in-house agency with a portfolio showcasing relevant experience and copywriting abilities (CRM, performance, social media campaign, non-traditional activations)
  • Ability to offer creative and copy direction or critique work objectively.
  • Skilled at telling the same story across multiple channels in a way that's integrated, yet optimized for every touchpoint
  • You should be comfortable in a trailblazing environment
  • Experience working on EMEA-wide or global projects is a plus, but not necessary
  • A highly collaborative working style
  • The ability to be versatile and flexible to manage work through to the approval process--Including reviewing work with creative directors, presenting to stakeholders and managing feedback
  • Strong presentation skills. The ability to communicate ideas and executions to stakeholders and team members
  • Organization skills. You can effectively manage your time and prioritize your work
