Uber ATG Platform Validation Team; Are you a great engineer who enjoys testing? Are you an independent problem solver with a high level of technical curiosity? Are you willing to put in lots of testing time to help bring new technologies from prototype to production? UATG is hiring hardware quality and test engineers to build our Platform Validation Team and help bring our ideas to market.

As an hardware test engineer on the Platform Validation Team, you will participate in requirements engineering, develop hardware verification and validation plans, develop test cases, design/build test fixtures, execute tests and document results to validate components and systems.

What You'll Do

  • As a Platform Validation Hardware Engineer on the PvTeam (SE&T), you will be required to perform: verification, validation, testing endeavors, testing of circuit boards, cameras, lidar, radar, micro-controllers and computer systems, build and maintenance of electrical test fixtures, develop test cases to validate hardware/software integration, develop tools and methods to automate testing for rapid deployment, perform a wide range of tests (e.g. burn-in, in-circuit testing, functional testing, etc), programming capabilities in Python and utilization of data acquisition systems while maintaining and curating engineering processes, documentation, and configuration management.

You will also need to have a creative problem solving abilities, with safety critical hardware systems and components, automotive applications and standards, prototype development and testing experience in agile project environment design, build and maintenance of hardware-in-the-loop, standard debug capabilities.

As a Platform Validation Hardware Engineer your impact will be development testing focusing on safety and operational capabilities of our self-driving fleet independently as well as within technical/engineering teams.
