Senior EV Infrastructure Project Manager, JUMP - EMEA

About the Role

JUMP is excited to bring e-bikes to EMEA! In the coming months, JUMP will deploy thousands of e-bikes across the cities in an effort to fundamentally improve the transportation landscape. At the center of JUMP's e-bike systems are central facilities that serve as battery charging hubs. In addition to these facilities, JUMP plans to deploy a distributed network of smaller charging stations across cities. We're looking for a highly-motivated and detail-oriented professional to manage the electrical setup of our central facilities as well as all aspects of the deployment of the smaller charging stations. This person will play a direct and crucial role in establishing and shaping a new transportation system while gaining experience project managing the creation of a complex EV charging network with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the electrical setup of our central charging facilities across EMEA
  • Manage the permitting and onboarding process for new charging stations
  • Lead and define the process of working with interested partners to install charging stations
  • Facilitate communication between external partners, relevant governmental departments, electrical contractors, and internal JUMP / Uber stakeholders.
  • Initiate, spearhead, and negotiate business development efforts with potential charging station partners across EMEA
  • Manage JUMP's relationships with its partners, electrical contractors, and relevant city officials
  • Navigate EMEA's electrical building codes, attending relevant industry meetings and spending time in person at JUMP's charging sites
  • Clearly and effectively communicate project details to multiple JUMP teams:
  • Synthesize detailed electrical and planning code requirements into digestible reports that inform our installation process and guide product development.
  • Work closely with the JUMP / Uber legal teams to help manage contracts with external partners.
  • Generate actionable reports and communicate installation timelines to help guide JUMP's launch strategy
  • Help site planners collect relevant site measurements and details
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel (25%)

What You'll Need

  • Background/education in Civil or Electrical Engineering / Planning / Architecture
  • Experience coordinating external (electrical) contractors
  • 5+ years experience in role(s) with account management or extensive external communication
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, European language skills a plus
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and manage multiple tasks and relationships simultaneously
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity to produce results
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Strong independent work-ethic; ability to stay focused and driven with minimal supervision
