The Strategy & Planning Lead will be responsible to help drive business strategy and decision-making, lead cross-functional, strategic initiatives and support planning, alignment and focus on strategic business priorities within the UKI team.

This role calls for a combination of strategic thinking, analytics, and project, stakeholder and team management. Further, as Uber Eats is a new business and remains a fast paced environment, we are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who is able to switch between long-term strategic initiatives one moment and pivot into rapid, tactical actions the next.

What You'll Do

  • Strategy: work closely with the UK & Ireland General Manager and Leads to help build, share and drive focus on our business strategy
  • Advanced Analytics: build, maintain and communicate detailed reporting models to assist city-level and regional decision-making. Drive deep ad hoc analyses on strategic opportunities and key business priorities
  • Cross-functional Project Management: design, prioritize, and lead implementation of strategic initiatives, working closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders (Engineering, Business Development, People Operations, Product, Legal, Finance etc.)
  • Team management: build and develop a team of S&P Associates and Analysts supporting your team's mission
  • Lead by Example: be truth-seeking and comfortable with data, set high standards for the team to think boldly and creatively, and then funnel that energy into concrete processes and execution plans. Move fast and be biased toward action

What you'll need:

  • At least 8 years of investment banking / consulting / business intelligence / strategy or related experience; high-growth operations or startup experience is a plus
  • Exceptional Excel / data management skills. SQL Proficiency preferred
  • Advanced project management and organization skills
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills: being a clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly, highlight the key takeaways, and disseminate actionable insights
  • Balancing attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength
  • Self-starter - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role
