About The Team

The Finance team is at the forefront of decision-making when it comes to new investments and product launches at Uber. We sit at the center of the business, partnering with leadership to support our strategy of making life easier for our millions of customers and allowing hundreds of thousands of drivers partners, courtier partners and merchants to make money. We need to understand every area of the business and how it rolls into the P&L. We #SeeTheForestAndTheTrees by knowing the details that matter.

Your Impact in Role:

• You will work closely with the APAC Tax team and cross-functional teams including finance, legal, business operations, etc, to execute direct tax advisory, compliance and litigation in the APAC region.
• Identify and research various tax issues and articulate findings to management through verbal and written communication.
• Review new product launches across various business lines in APAC from a corporate tax perspective
• Coordination of tax compliance work and preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations

The Experience You’ll Bring:

• Strong direct tax/corporate tax experience in corporate, industry, consulting and/or law firms, with exposure to the APAC region.
• Experience with preparation and review of income tax returns and tax accounting workpapers.
• Strong foundation of accounting and tax audit skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and high-growth organisation, and in developing and sustaining relationships with internal and cross-functional collaborators, as well as external tax advisors and tax authorities.
