Program Manager Marketplace Latam
About the Role
Program Managers are the owners of team productivity. The role promotes visibility and alignment through effective communication, bring efficiency and results through continuous improvement and problem solving, and foster collaboration and teamwork.
You will act as the main cross-team point of contact for all Marketplace projects in Uber Latin America, constantly enforcing our internal process in order to ensure projects include all the right stakeholders, go through all project stages needed, get to market on time and with high-quality deliverables.
In the marketplace team, we manage a large portfolio of projects, which high impact to the business, this is a key role to support the team building the best ride-hailing experience in LATAM!
What you'll do
- Project/Program Management and Stakeholder Management: Be the glue that brings teams together to ensure critical initiatives reach our partners and customers. Be a hustling multi-tasker, driving cross-functional groups to decisions on strategically important questions. Be able to analyze the whole picture when leading several projects around a common initiative, keeping teams aligned to business objectives
- Governance: Develop and coordinate governance and accountability models to ensure that teams are on track to achieve goals and course accurate as needed. Help to drive the vision for what the organizational structure should look like and ensure that the organization has clear roles and responsibilities by team
- Problem Solving & Business Sense: Structure and tackle ambiguous, real-world problems, using Uber’s rich dataset and external data sources. Identify business necessities and lead proposed solutions
- Analytical Expertise: Strong quantitative skills using Excel/Google Sheets
What you'll need

- Years of Experience/Industry: 3+years in strategy/PMO functions preferable
- Planning & Organization: Ability to plan sophisticated or multi-faceted projects, defining timelines, results, interdependencies, and prioritization, and delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members.
- Teamwork: The nature of the team implies constant collaboration and interaction with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Product, Marketing, Public Affairs, Legal, Tax, HR, etc.) to ensure we are bringing all available tools to bear on our toughest problems
- Adaptability: Ability to efficiently handle and prioritize sophisticated operations that require the support of peers and other teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, while maintaining high-quality work standards
- Business Understanding: Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture
- Communication: English proficiency. Demonstrated experience interpreting and communicating data to senior audiences in an engaging and comprehensive, yet succinct manner. Explains big-picture context for projects, giving the “why” behind the work. Ensure the right messages, presentations, and forums to bring together and cascade strategy and plans. This will include monthly business reviews, board presentations, and strategy documents
