About The Role

We’re looking for a Creative director with a solid background in advertising to support our APAC based marketing team and serve as a strong link to the global creative team. The role focuses on delivering creative campaigns and communications across APAC (Asia Pacific excluding China and much of Southeast Asia, and Australia + New Zealand) to ensure the various business needs are achieved. The role demands great conceptual thinking, detailed execution, bold innovation, passion, and optimism. The ideal candidate has deep experience in leading and crafting work for the world’s most recognized brands and has a solid understanding of advertising and communication, corporate identity, and digital innovation.

Your Impact in Role

  • Build brand consistency and alignment across diverse regions through the work we build and the work we ask partner agencies to produce
  • Use your sharp judgment and transformative leadership skills to guide the teams through the creative process to launch engaging, strategic world-class marketing
  • Empower local marketing teams to build world class creative for their markets by leveraging the expertise of central resources.
  • Manage and direct outside agencies in a variety of cross disciplinary executions from concept and execute both large scale and small scale to brand expressions that are incredibly impactful and positive.
  • Make a measurable impact on brand perception and growth by leveraging the right marketing tactics with breakthrough creative executions.
  • Establish team camaraderie and apply best practices in cross region knowledge sharing.

The Experience You’ll Bring

  • Degree in design, communications, marketing; or equivalent
  • Highly strategic and conceptual problem solver with a love of storytelling and that pushes creative boundaries.
  • Strong business acumen, with a solid understanding of how to achieve business objectives while meeting an expected brand standard and high bar for aesthetic quality.
  • A solid understanding of how creativity can achieve business objectives while still meeting an encouraged brand standard for aesthetic and communication quality
  • Ability to present a strong body of work across multiple media channels

  • Reset, Refresh and Recharge: we have a generous paid leave policy, providing paid leave in addition to the statutory annual leave depending on your location (excluding certain roles in the CommOps org). Additional eligibility requirements apply.
  • Personal health and wellbeing - depending on location, you can access a healthcare plan or reimbursement for a plan of your choice up to a nominated value. You will also receive a monthly wellbeing allowance to use throughout the year across a range of items including; gym / fitness memberships, mindfulness apps, fitness equipment, ski passes and more. We also provide Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) that connect you to resources & support.
  • Uber has always been a flexible organisation and COVID has only amplified this. Our global policy is 50% of time in office, and employees can apply to be fully remote if you think that’s best for you. We also provide opportunities to work for one month a year in another Uber location. These opportunities are tailored to specific individuals, roles and teams, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
  • When you are in the office, we have an amazing range of facilities accessible for all Uber employees. Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber’s cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
