Security Technologist GRC

The security organization at Uber is dedicated to enabling safe and secure innovation while protecting the communities we serve both online and in the physical world. The primary objective for Uber Engineering Security team is to enable the technical ambitions of the company while maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy for our customers and partners. About the Role

The Senior Security Technologist GRC will be focused on driving and implementing different security, compliance and risk management programs on the ServiceNow platform at Uber. The successful applicant will work with the engineering team to develop, support and enable technical solutions that satisfy a variety of business processes supporting the GRC framework.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Drive and promo vision for overall GRC strategy
  • Gather business and functional requirements from partner teams and deliver a product/release that meets the needs presented. Develops technical specifications documentation
  • Analyze and fully understand user stories and internal procedures in order to improve system capabilities, automate process workflows and address scheduling limitations throughout the development and delivery of the ServiceNow eGRC platform
  • Work with developers to implement workflows from customer requirements including workflows, UI actions, client scripts, business rules, etc
  • Load, manipulate and maintain data between ServiceNow eGRC platform and other systems as needed
  • Perform system and integration testing with sample and live data
  • Design and develop dashboards, home pages, performance analytics data collectors and reports as needed to support the requirements of the programs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering and computer science
  • Must have ServiceNow experience
  • Security certifications e.g. CISA, CISSP, CISM or other relevant certifications
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills
  • Must have knowledge of enhancing processes across the GRC landscape
  • Ability to thrive in environments of uncertainty
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a cross-section of the Information Technology team and business organizations to implement information security standards and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Big 4 accounting firm and/or internet/ technology industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience in developing and running GRC programs with a high proficiency in process design and optimization, project management, multi-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to handle numerous projects with changing/shifting/dynamic priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as customer management
  • Ability to support build of strategy decks and dashboards ServiceNow product certification
  • ServiceNow Administrator certification
  • Process management experience, including process redesign and optimization

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
