Courier Strategy & Operations Manager

Whether it's a sandwich, a burrito, or pizza, the Uber Eats team builds technology to connect people with what they want, when and where they want it!

You will have the opportunity to join our Courier Operations team in charge of creating the best experience for our Courier Partners.

This is a key role for Uber Eats and combines various skills such as project management, process creation and automation, advanced data analytics, and daily interactions with our Regional team in Amsterdam, as well as City and other Country teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Data Analytics - create analyses and dashboards to measure your projects' success and to drive key business decisions and policies across Italy
  • Project management and execution - define and oversee projects from their initial definition until their final implementation.
  • Define and follow project critical metrics. Ensure alignment, and quick execution with your main collaborators across the market
  • Cross-functional teamwork and stakeholder management - You will engage with a number of functions across the business - territory teams, finance, policy, communications, product, marketing, legal, and customer support.
  • Process and Tool creation - One of the Courier Operation biggest tasks at Uber Eats is to create, improve and scale processes and tools for our Couriers partners and teams on the field
  • Growth Strategy - you'll be responsible for courier growth tactics in the country, analysing the best acquisition and engagement channels and designing the communication strategy for it!
  • Optimise support operations to enhance courier satisfaction and to improve their engagement on the Uber Eats platform

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in a similar role (consulting, investment banking, technology, operations, strategy, or analytics), having managed stakeholders and demonstrated an ability to adapt to a fast-moving working environment.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in business, economics, STEM, or other related field).
  • Self-starter with a data-driven decision making, a strong bias for action in a dynamic environment.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to balance between short term goals and long term investments of resources.
  • Validated analytical skills and data-driven decision making and the ability to use data to build models to find opportunities and deliver results. Advance Excel/GSheet and SQL knowledge are a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - building deep, trust-based relationships with territory and cross functional teams.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian (spoken & written) is a requirement.

Nice To Have:

  • Knowledge of Python and/or Tableau are considered a strong plus
  • Proven ability to prioritize work strategically and complete objectives while demonstrating solid collaborator management
  • Master's degree (preferably in business, economics, STEM, or other related field).

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
