Group Product Manager - Compliance

About the Role

Uber moves money around the world, having collected and disbursed over $100b across nearly 70 countries in the last 12 months. We're looking for an extraordinary product leader to build an outstanding compliance platform as we continue to scale our payments capabilities across a global footprint and a large range of use cases. You'll lead our vision and strategy to help move money globally in compliance with local laws and regulations - balancing magical customer experiences, great internal collaborator experiences, and efficiently meeting the needs of our regulators.

What You'll Do

  • Lead building our product platforms for global compliance with regulatory requirements. Set a multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap. Define and own OKRs and important metrics for our compliance efforts in collaboration with our legal, policy, and compliance operations teams.
  • Build outstanding customer experiences to ensure compliance with our regulatory obligations including customer screening, transaction monitoring, and other capabilities. Passionate focus on the customer and internal stakeholder experiences
  • Globally extensible compliance platforms - geo expansion, new use cases
  • Cross-functional leadership and teamwork across engineering, compliance operations, legal and policy, data science, technical program management, design, and other domains

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience at a global scale
  • Experience leading sophisticated compliance platform asks
  • Experience managing internal partners
  • Buy vs. build for compliance capabilities at an enterprise level
  • 3+ years of people management
  • Global experience with a history of product and platform innovation. You've solved hard problems at scale to produce magical experiences.
  • Experience interacting directly with regulators. You've had hard conversations with regulators and found solutions that both meet regulatory requirements as well as provide great customer experiences
  • Experience working in matrixed multi-national organizations
  • You are data-savvy and have used data science/analytics/machine learning models to improve platforms and customer experiences.

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
