Sr Accounting Manager, Transformations

Our Accounting team builds scalable, controlled processes and products for Global Accounting, Treasury, and FinTech that enable our business to operate efficiently.

About the Role

We are looking to hire a Senior Manager of GL Accounting Transformations, to join our global accounting team. This change agent will work to inspire the team to transform how we account for transactions today into more efficient, accurate, and scalable solutions.

In this exciting role, you will be able to lead global projects in a very fast growing and changing environment. This solution-oriented person will drive the execution of transformational projects by applying their accounting and accounting systems expertise, collaborating with stakeholders across the org, and defining business processes that improve automation, control adherence, standardization and simplicity.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the GL Accounting transformation team, responsible for executing multiple in-house built system implementations, process improvements / realignments, and 3rd party system implementations.
  • Lead end-to-end, cross-functional, transformational projects, incorporating best practices and technology solutions, to increase scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Lead workshops and prepare root cause analyses to understand issues and impacts.
  • Define process flows and process solutions, provide detailed system requirements, and drive execution.
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with leaders in upstream teams (sales, product, legal, engineering, marketing, etc.).
  • Work closely with FinTech and Engineering to communicate and agree upon vision, project timelines, systems’ capabilities and constraints, and roadmaps.
  • Develop and supervise performance metrics to measure the impact of implemented process changes.
  • Assist in the development of operational policies and procedures and mechanisms to ensure compliance due to changes from transformational efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • 15+ Years of Professional Experience
  • BA/BS

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 years of dynamic accounting experience
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Engineering
  • Demonstrated the ability to lead cross functional projects
  • Oracle R12
  • CPA
  • ERP implementation experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, high-volume organization.
  • Experience implementing accounting systems and cross-functional processes.
  • Experienced knowledge of accounting policies/procedures, SOX controls, and financial statement preparation.
  • Familiarity with accounting software solutions such as Blackline, Trintech, HFM, DRM, etc.
  • Outstanding business insight, problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
