Product Manager, Discovery - Customer Obsession

About the Role

As a Product Manager for Customer Obsession, you will be responsible for the strategy and development of a magical help experience that touches the lives of Uber customers and partners across Rides, Eats and Groceries.

You will create proactive support solutions using real-time signals to deliver exceptional customer experiences across mobile, web and voice platforms for Uber customers. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a breed of technologies (including signals processing, AI/ML, NLP) and use innovative design thinking to accomplish this at a scale that has never been done before in the industry!

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Define the roadmap and own the execution of solutions to improve the discoverability of the appropriate help solutions for customers. This includes working with various product teams and data scientists to predict customer intent by leveraging various trip/order signals and customer data.
  • Work closely with an extensive global community operations organization to build efficient and scalable customer support experiences
  • Be incredibly truth-seeking. Collect whatever data is necessary to inform product direction and solicit critical feedback.
  • Drive innovation, definition, deliverables planning (roadmap) and design of entirely new Uber products and product features to deliver against team and company goals.
  • Make tradeoff decisions based on technical and business insights and experimentation. Monitor and measure launched products and feed insights back into the product development process to drive growth
  • Clearly communicate product plans, benefits and results, as appropriate, to a spectrum of audiences, from internal stakeholders to Uber management and employees

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years Product Management experience developing extraordinary applications.
  • Experience working in a metrics and experimentation driven organization.
  • Passion for the customer: strong data analysis, product judgment, and a stubborn refusal to settle for anything short of bold innovation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ML, NLP, AI, especially with customer care/support is a significant plus
  • Excellent data analysis skills and data-driven decision-making ability, with a high design bar and a mentality of starting with the customer first and working backwards
  • Understanding of Mobile & Web development and experience delivering highly successful web or mobile products with your signature all over them
  • A deep desire to grow and learn
