About the Team:

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned engineer and strong collaborator to help drive the vision and delivery of Uber's new in-advanced matching platform that will power all of Uber's reservation-based rides and delivery products globally. The platform matches future reservations with the optimal driver to maximize reliability and driver flexibility, while simultaneously improving the overall efficiency of the Uber Marketplace. This is a unique opportunity to build something brand new, solve deep technical challenges, and have a broad impact across Uber's business.

Minimum qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field AND 4-years full-time Software Engineering work experience OR 7-years full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 4-years total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Programming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, or Go)
  • Note the 4-years total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these). The years of specialized experience are not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.

Technical skills:

  • Distributed systems

Preferred:

  • Product engineering
  • Scalability engineering
