About the Role

The Uber Freight Sales Manager is an integral part of the sales management team, responsible for mid-market shippers. In this role, this leader will be part of a team that oversees a growing sales org dedicated to expanding our mid-market customer base across all emerging product and service offerings. They will drive continuous growth and improvement across a portfolio of customers.

This individual is obsessed with delivering world class service to Uber Freight customers and contributing directly to the top line and bottom line growth of Uber Freight. The ideal candidate is both highly operational and entrepreneurial, obsessed with driving customer success, motivated by building and shaping the future of transportation, and a proven leader at setting vision and driving execution to deliver results for Uber Freight and for our shippers.

This person will work with sales and operations teams to continue improving strategy and processes. They will be responsible for executing on business growth targets alongside stakeholders across several teams within Uber Freight.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  • Manage a team of Account Executives with 1-3 yrs of sales experience, responsible for growing our mid-market shipper base
  • Drive top-line and bottom-line growth for a portfolio of customers
  • Own recruiting, objective setting, coaching, training, motivating and development of the sales team
  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, account management, customer success and sales operations teams to drive shipper acquisition and growth by setting and executing cohesive go-to-market strategy
  • Partner with sales enablement to build training and coaching around sales processes, best practices and tools such as Salesforce.com, Groove, LinkedIn Sales Navigator to up-level team and drive results

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales or sales leadership function
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Proven ability to deliver results to high-growth customers

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  • At least 3 years hands-on management experience in an acquisition sales environment with experience managing and full cycle B2B Sales teams
  • Proven track record of success vision setting, coaching, development, and driving execution to deliver business outcomes
  • Supply chain or logistics experience a plus
  • A solution and customer-oriented mindset with the ability to grow strong partnerships
  • Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders including operations, marketing, and customer success teams
  • Excitement toward working and staying organized in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment
  • Portfolio of achievements growing a business or product and consistently exceeding revenue targets and company goals
  • Enthusiastic and motivational leadership mentality established through leading by example for staff, peers and senior leaders across all company functions
  • Experience building and leveraging dashboards and reporting to drive results (ie Salesforce, Tableau)
